The Secret Ingredient

What really sets this recipe apart is the secret ingredient: clementine juice. My mom discovered this trick years ago, and it adds a hint of sweet citrus flavor that takes the soup to the next level. It’s a small touch, but it really makes a difference! I’ve never had another chicken tortilla soup that tasted quite like this one, and I think you’ll agree that it’s absolutely delicious!

Make This Chicken Tortilla Soup Your Own!

Another great thing about this slow cooker chicken tortilla soup recipe is that it’s incredibly versatile. You can easily customize it to your liking by adding or subtracting ingredients. For example, if you like your soup a bit spicier, you can add some diced jalapenos or extra cayenne pepper. Or if you prefer a vegetarian version, you can swap out the chicken for some extra beans and use vegetable broth instead. Even the added toppings can change this recipe in countless ways. The possibilities are endless, and that’s part of what makes this recipe so great!
