In a large pot, melt the butter on medium heat. Stir the butter continuously as the butter starts to bubble. There is a fine line between browning and burning butter, so keep a close eye on it and don’t stop stirring! Also, don’t turn the heat above medium. Dark flecks will start to form on the bottom of the pan, and the butter will quickly turn to an amber color. You’ll know it’s done when you can smell a nutty aroma. Immediately turn the heat to low and add in marshmallows, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Stir continuously until the marshmallows have melted and there aren't any more lumps.
Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispie cereal. Mix until the cereal is well coated.
Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Move the coated cereal to the baking dish, and evenly spread it out. Lightly press the cereal into a smooth layer with wet fingers. Don't press too hard, or the rice krispie treats will turn out dense.
Let the rice krispie treats cool to room temperature, and then drizzle melted almond bark over the top (follow the instructions on packaging for melting the almond bark). Let the almond bark cool over the top, and then cut into individual pieces. Enjoy!
